Hello! Today, I’d like to share a review of the hotel where I stayed during my summer vacation in Gangneung.
If you ever travel to Gang-neung, there’s a landmark building you can’t miss, Sky bay Hotel Gyeong-po!
If you’re wondering which accommodation to choose when visiting Gang-neung, I hope my review will help you decide. 🙂
Location
The location is perfect! During the hot summer days you can enjoy swimming, and at night it’s refreshing to go for a run along the lake. It’s truly an ideal spot for both relaxation and exercise!

The hotel room was clean and well-organized. The layout was just like the photo above, and I chose the lake-view room.

This is the wide-open lake view I had from the room. It’s the perfect view to sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee, and simply relax.

Here you can find tea, coffee, and an electric kettle prepared for guests. The wardrobe looks like this, and inside, there are bathrobes ready for you to wear when heading to the infinity pool later.

There’s also a workspace and a tablet provided for hotel services. It’s available in English as well, which makes it very convenient for international guests.

The bathroom and shower were very clean, with a modern design and well-maintained facilities. Basic amenities such as toiletries and fresh towels were also provided, making the stay even more comfortable.
Hotel Gym & Pool Review

On the top floor, there is a fitness center with a wide variety of equipment, which really motivates you to work out. With the ocean view right in front of you, exercising there felt truly healing.

After working out at the fitness center and using the shower, I headed to the swimming pool located right next to it.

I ended up swimming and enjoying myself until night. One of the best things about this hotel is that you get the ocean view in the front and the lake view in the back, so both sides are stunning. What impressed me the most was the golden sky at sunset. it was truly unforgettable. With such beautiful views on both sides, I found myself swimming until late at night without even realizing it, haha.
Nearby Convenience Facilities

After swimming, I took a refreshing shower in my room and then explored the hotel lobby. There were cafés and cozy seating areas to relax, as well as a variety of restaurants to choose from.

Besides a chicken place and a pizzeria, there were also several Korean restaurants to choose from. You could either dine in or take the food back to your room, which was really convenient. There’s even a convenience store attached to the hotel, making it extra handy for guests.

There’s also a space where you can take photos with these cute characters! They are the mascots from the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, The bear on the left is Bandabi and the white tiger on the right is Soohorang.

Lastly, here’s a photo of the hotel at night – isn’t it beautiful? You could say this is one of the most iconic hotels in Gang-neung. For many Koreans, when they think of Gang-neung, this hotel immediately comes to mind. If you ever visit Gang-neung, I truly recommend staying here at least once. Wishing you a wonderful trip to Gang-neung!
