Hello! this is my first post on this blog. I thought a lot about what to write first.
Since many people arrive in Korea through Incheon Airport,
I decided to introduce two must-try restaurants near the airport.
I recommend taking a taxi to get there.
The two restaurants are located close to each other, about 25km from the airport,
and it usually takes around 25 minute by taxi
The fare should be about 20,000won (approximately 15USD).
The first place is called 구읍뱃터 조개구이 (Gu-eup Baetteo Jogae-gui).
It’s a local spot known for grilled clams cooked over coal briquettes — like Korean BBQ, but with seafood.
I especially recommend their cheese-grilled scallops (price 60,000won – approximately 45USD) — they’re rich, savory, and really satisfying!

Cheese- grilled scallops are served with scallops topped with melted mozzarella and chogochujang — a Korean spicy-sour red chili sauce.
It’s just a little bit spicy, so don’t worry!
Once grilled, the spiciness mellows out and enhances the savory flavor of the chogochujang.
The cheese and sauce create a beautiful harmony, which is why many Koreans love this dish.
Additionally, the photo on the right shows a traditional Korean coal briquette. It has many small holes (or cavities) to help it burn slowly and evenly.
In the past, briquettes were used to heat homes during the winter,
but these days, they’re often used for grilling as well.
Because of that, many Koreans feel a nostalgic vibe when they see or use them.
The second restaurant is called 바다앞꼬막집 (Cockle House by the Sea).
Their most popular dish is Cockle Bibimbap (꼬막비빔밥) 43,000won(32 USD) — a special twist on Korea’s beloved rice dish.

Bibimbap is a traditional Korean meal made with warm rice, mixed vegetables, meat, and spicy sauce.
In this version, the meat is replaced with marinated cockles, giving the dish a rich, nutty flavor that pairs beautifully with sesame oil and seaweed.
It’s a comforting and flavorful dish that many seafood lovers enjoy.
Yeongjongdo in Incheon is famous for its shellfish, so I recommend some must-try restaurants in the area.
Thank you so much for reading my first post!
If I visit more restaurants that are delicious and worth sharing,
I’ll be sure to write about them again next time.
I hope you have a wonderful trip to Korea!
